Shamrock Shake
Keeping children educated on the differences of cultures and celebrations among them is a full time job for parents. As you are informing your children on what St. Patrick's Day means for the Irish and Irish Americans, make it fun and add a little treat to their new discovery of another culture.
Saint Patrick was a Christian missionary who later on became the patron saint of Ireland. The Irish culture celebrates his life with a feast on March 17, which marks the day of his death. It mainly a holiday that is celebrated by Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox and Anglicans and is founded on religion. We celebrate St. Patrick's day by wearing green and attending mass.
