The Creativekidzplay Arts Enrichment program has made quite an impression by providing some very special young people in Atlanta area recreation centers this school year.The program just completed its music/songwriting component with a visit from spoken word poet, writer, and actor Abyss Graham. Students learned the basic skills in songwriting by understanding the role of the writer and producer, rhyming schemes that assist songwriters and poets to create material, and created their own songs with the guidance of a professional songwriter.
Abyss performed songs for the students in addition to explaining things that happened in his life that encouraged his creative arts career as an artist. He also spoken on the discipline that it takes to be a successful artists and how taking school seriously will be the foundation for any student to be successful in the future no matter what path he or she chooses. Students also participated in a sing-a-long with Abyss and showed some of their own performance skills while he accompanied them on guitar.
